Evelyn Elongi When I came to Carriage Inn last September, I left behind a place I called home for over 40 years. My home was in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of young families and wonderful neighbors, but like many things, over the years it changed. My family felt it best for me to move. I thought about a Condo, but my sister-in-law discovered Carriage Inn and insisted I take a look. I’m so glad she did, because it was love at first site. From the moment I walked in, it felt like home. The Lord opened all the doors for me to make the move, and I feel very blessed. It’s hard to say what I like best about Carriage Inn because there are so many things. I do especially like the Book Club and all the opportunities for spiritual development. We have a wonderful Bible study on Tuesday mornings and Sunday evenings, plus a Sunday morning service. I love Bingo, and the exercise program has been great. As a result of the program, I walk better and faster, and find I’m stronger all the way around. We have weekly live entertainment and weekly excursions, both of which are top notch in quality. Our monthly “Theme Dinners” for residents only, are out of this world. I told Sherry being at Carriage Inn reminds me of the two overseas cruises I went on where I was treated special every day and everything I needed was right at my fingertips. The programs are fantastic, but the staff is even better! Our Executive Chef seems to know our taste buds better than we do. Everything at Carriage Inn is done with great hospitality with the entire staff seeming to enjoy what they do. My kids knew I was here to stay when I told them to “Go ahead and sell my house”. I’ve made some wonderful friends in my new home, and I wouldn’t go back for anything!
